Adult serotonergic neuron whose cell body is located in a cluster of approximately six cells the inferior protocerebrum (Giang et al., 2011. Some of these neurons project to the contralateral hemisphere and innervate the optic lobe (Valles and White, 1988. There are also some arborizations in the superior medial protocerebrum and the posterior lateral protocerebrum (Xu et al., 2016. (Valles and White, 1988, Xu et al., 2016, Giang et al., 2011)
