Peptidergic neuron that secretes the glucagon-like Adipokinetic hormone (Akh). There are approximately 23 of these cells, all found in the adult corpus cardiacum. They have projections to the crop (Lee and Park, 2004; Hadjieconomou et al., 2020. (Hadjieconomou et al., 2020, Lee and Park, 2004)
