Oogenesis stage during which the number of nurse cell nuclei at the anterior of the oocyte reduce from 4 to zero. The oocyte chromosomes reach full metaphase I during this stage, at which point meiosis is arrested (until fertilization). (Puro and Nokkala, 1977)
