Glial cell of the embryo that arises in the posterior deutocerebrum (Hartenstein et al., 1998). They spread out and, together with the ADSG cells, form a band of cells that cover the deutocerebrum and ventral protocerebrum by stage 14 (Hartenstein et al., 1998; Hartenstein et al., 2011). These cells develop into larval surface glia (Hartenstein et al., 1998).
