embryonic ventral procephalic subperineural glial cell [FBbt_00001246]
Glial cell of the embryo that arises near the boundary between the protocerebrum and deutocerebrum (Hartenstein et al., 1998). There are around 12 of these cells by embryonic stage 12 (Hartenstein et al., 1998). During stage 12, cells of this cluster spread out to cover the anterior and lateral surface of the deutocerebrum and basal protocerebrum (Hartenstein et al., 1998). Most of these cells develop into larval subperineurial glia, but some may become cell body glia (Hartenstein et al., 1998).
