Adult fruitless neuron with its cell body in the ventral abdominal neuromere (Yu et al., 2010. In the ventral nerve cord, it only arborizes in the prothoracic neuromere (Clowney et al., 2015. It has an ascending axonal projection that innervates the subesophageal zone (SEZ) and lateral protocerebrum (Yu et al., 2010; Clowney et al., 2015. It has sexually dimorphic arbors in the SEZ (Yu et al., 2010. (Clowney et al., 2015, Yu et al., 2010, von Philipsborn et al., 2014)
