Tangential neuron of the lobula plate with a contralaterally-projecting axon that passes through a tract frontal to the noduli (Zhao et al., 2023). There are seven of these cells per hemisphere (Zhao et al., 2023). They are all visual projection neurons (Nern et al., 2025. (Nern et al., 2025)
Zhao et al. (2023) match these to noduli group neurons identified in blowfly.
